Iced Tea Time!

Today at The Daily Tea HQ, Jacqueline, Christine and I decided to ditch our usual afternoon tea for something a bit more seasonal! We brewed up a pot of iced tea with watermelon and mint. It was a new experience for all parties.

We brewed it up hot first before sticking it in the fridge to get to optimum iced tea temperature. We snuck a taste before sealing it away and we all agreed the watermelon and mint combination would be better cold. Then the waiting began. I was happily surprised by a personal delivery from Jacqueline, an ice cold glassful of tea! Final verdict? It wasn’t quite Jacqueline and Christine’s taste but more for me because I was a fan. There are a lot of great recipes that could be enhanced by this tisane!

About Author

I grew up hating tea. My grandmother, who rivals the Dowager Countess in both snark and tea consumption, would shoo me and my cousins away from the TV so she could watch the news and drink her earl grey. That being said, today it is most definitely in my blood. As I grew up I found that tea was often the only remedy that would cure me. If I was tired, I would turn to tea way before I would brew coffee. If I was sick, the warmth would surely heal me. Even when I’m hungover, green tea does wonders. Tea also pairs perfectly with some of my other favorite things – TV, books, movies, and friends.
