“So What Did You Do This Weekend, Graham?”

Well, actually I was getting something ready for the next episode of The Alexis Show – “How to Make Your Own Herbal Iced Teas.” (Wait did I just give something away?)

I’ve had a very productive mint and basil garden for several years now, but I wanted to try something new. So I bought this black basil. Actually, it’s not black but a very dark purple variety called “Amethyst”, and has an almost licorice aroma to it. Can’t wait to try it, when Alexis’ herbal iced tea episode airs later this month.

Until then, here’s a recipe I found for Hummus with Purple Basil.
