Harvest Sangria

Sangria is one cocktail that can be enjoyed at either a holiday gathering or a summer barbeque. This version will make you reminisce about raked leaves and bonfires, with flavors of apple and cranberry, two fall favorites, along with tart pomegranate, orange and green tea! Welcome back, Autumn!

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 6 green tea bags, or approximately 2 tbsp. loose leaf
  • 2 to 4 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 cup chilled pomegranate juice or cranberry juice cocktail
  • 1 medium apple, cored and sliced
  • 1 medium orange, cut into wedges

Directions:

  1. Pour boiling water over green tea in teapot; cover and brew 1-1/2 minutes. Remove tea bags and squeeze, or if using loose, strain; stir in sugar and cool.
  2. Combine tea, cranberry juice and fruit in large pitcher. Chill at least 2 hours. Serve in ice-filled glasses. Enjoy!
