Women Tea Drinkers Appear to Have Fewer Bouts of Gastric Cancer

0

According to researchers at the National Cancer Center in Tokyo, women who drank five or more cups of tea a day were 21 percent less likely to be diagnosed with gastric cancer. However, this research did not show a similar association for men. The study was compiled from results of eight separate research papers and three case-controlled studies which were analyzed by a research team.

In a separate report on the findings, David Liu, Ph.D. for Food Consumer wrote, “The study results did not mean that drinking green tea would definitely reduce the risk of stomach cancer even though that possibility cannot be excluded either.”
