Tea Mag’s business development whiz did what many people did over the holidays — headed home! The only difference is his home is Istanbul, Turkey! While he was there he found a beautiful tea house and sent us some shots!
I went to visit family and friends in Istanbul over the holidays. As a tea enthusiast myself I enjoyed the traditional Turkish tea, especially over breakfast and after dinners. However before my trip I learned that a new tea house opened up in the up and coming neighborhood of Karakoy in Istabul called “Dem Karakoy”. Dem Karakoy is a modern tea house that serves 60 different teas to their customers. It was good to see that the different teas are also making their way into Turkey. I went there with one of my great friends who is also a tea enthusiast. We tried the Milky Oolong, Herbs & Ginger and Equilibrium teas. We were both feeling a little under the weather so wanted to try more herbal teas and get the extra health benefits.
