8 Great Ways to Celebrate Hot Tea Month

0

It’s hot tea month! Be adventurous or generous or just plain healthy with a few of our suggestions for making the month all about HOT TEA!

  1. Pay it forward! When you purchase your morning tea at that fancy café, pay for two: one for you and one for the person in line behind you. You’ll make their day!
  2. Take your life in your hands. If you usually drink your tea with milk and sweetener, try it straight up or with lemon instead. Already drink it that way? Add honey or sugar with a dash of milk, but please, please, please, put the milk in LAST!
  3. Tea for two. Invite an old friend over for afternoon tea. Talk the hours away.
  4. What’s this whole organic thing about anyway? Try the organic or biodynamic version of your favorite hot tea and see if you can taste a difference. Let me know what you think.
  5. Make quick work of your tea. At work, share a cup of tea and a cookie with everyone who comes by your desk. After a day of this you’ll probably want to switch to carrot sticks, though.
  6. Be healthy in the New Year. Try an herbal tea for whatever ails you. Tense? Have some chamomile or hawthorn to relax. Looking for more vitamin C? Rose hips or blackberry will get you there. As surely as we live and breathe, you’ll find an herbal for all your needs.
  7. Take a walk on the wild side. Have a cup of tea in the park or overlooking a stream. Allow the sounds of nature to relax you. Let me know if you wind up enjoying your tea even more when you drink it alfresco.
  8. Be the life of the party and the pantry. Invite your friends over and introduce them to new teas and ways of drinking tea. You might learn something new yourself as you nosh on petit fours while sipping Earl Grey. Keep that pinky down, now.

Now go out there and drink some tea! Oh, you’re probably drinking some right now, aren’t you? Silly me.

I never realized just how much tea and tea paraphernalia I had acquired until I started working at The Daily Tea. Now I celebrate a passion I didn't realize I had. Loose, unsmoked yerba mate, brewed in a French press, starts my day. And I've been brewing my own kombucha since 1994! What tea treasures will I discover next?
