Sacramento-based fashion designer Sacha Laurin is adding a unexpected, and delicious, kick to her designs. Laurin designs her garments using escobi, a material made from green tea and bacterias found in cheese. She calls it Kombucha couture. The escobi, which is leather like in texture, is crafted into dresses, accessories and jewelry. Laurin even describes the material as “vegan leather.”
