During the heat of the summer, the perfect party drink is definitely the daiquiri. The fruity flavors are sweet and light, with just enough alcohol to give your afternoon or evening a jump start. The slushy, icy consistency immediately cools the throat (though sometimes a bit too much, causing the inevitable ‘brain freeze’! ). This daiquiri recipe calls for cantaloupe, a mildly-flavored summer melon, paired with Pu-erh tea, creating a subtle taste sensation that will have you begging for another!
Ingredients:
1½ oz Pu-erh tea
1½ oz vodka
3 oz frozen cubed cantaloupe
1 oz coconut milk
Splash of lemon juice
Directions:
1. STEEP tea at 4x normal strength for 2 minutes, then remove tea bag and chill liquid for later use.
2. COMBINE and blend ingredients in blender, adding a splash of lemon for each serving.
3. SERVE on the rocks, garnish with lemon wedge. Serves 1.
