Chai Tea Latte

Save precious time waiting in line for your chai fix; with this easy recipe, you can do it yourself! We’re sticking with a cardamom-infused flavor theme here. Combined with spicy nutmeg, it gives this chai latte a warm and fragrant flavor.

Serves 1

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 3 packets of Nektar Honey Crystals
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons of strong loose-leaf black tea, like Assam or English Breakfast

Method

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk, spices and Nektar Honey Crystals and bring to a boil. Then cover and turn heat off. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. In a separate small saucepan, bring water to a boil. Then turn off heat and put the loose tea in the water. Let sit for 5 minutes. Strain out the tea leaves.
  3. If desired, strain the milk mixture through cheesecloth.
  4. Pour milk mixture into two mugs and stir in tea evenly. Garnish with more cinnamon. Can also be served cold.
