If you desire a touch of color or brightness in your hair, but want something a little more natural, you may have exactly what you need right in your kitchen! Some spices and teas can boost your natural color, or add a temporary hue to your locks. Turmeric spice or chamomile tea for blonde tones, black tea for shine and brightness (for brunette shades…not recommended for blonde), and beet root powder for pink/red hues are just a few suggestions. Be mindful of the lightness of your hair, as lighter hair can absorb more color, which may create a hue you are not happy with. Luckily, most of these are temporary, and will wash out with your next shampoo.
