Fireside Tea

Adapted from DrinkMixer

So the days are getting shorter and the breeze chillier—but who says you can’t still use the patio? As long as you’ve got one of these in hand, it’s all good. And cozy.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz dark rum
  • 5 oz hot black tea (try a Ceylon or Yunnan; a masala chai would add extra depth)
  • 1 lemon wedge
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Method

Pour tea into a heat-proof goblet and sweeten to taste. Add rum, wedge of lemon, and a cinnamon stick, using the cinnamon stick to stir. Serve.
